Gazakh Cement Plant, one of the major building materials manufacturers of Azerbaijan, plans to increase clinker production volumes and further develop export potential, a source at the plant told Trend.
The plant is implementing an investment project to increase the output of cement and clinker and begin the product export abroad, said the source.
"This year, advanced technological equipment was installed at the enterprise, which will also help to expand production of building materials under this project,” the source said.
Since January 2020, the plant increased output of building materials up to 12-15 percent, and it’s planned to increase this figure at least twice or by 2.5 times.
“The production capacity is expected to increase from 1 million to 1.3-1.5 million tons per year. Since the beginning of the year, the plant exported its goods to Georgia and Iran. The next exports to these countries are expected to be made in the coming month. Moreover, the exports to Qatar and Iraq are also scheduled for the summer," added the source.
Gazakh Cement Plant LLC is one of the largest manufacturers of building materials in Azerbaijan. Along with cement, the plant also produces concrete and clinker.
