Agency for marketing of Uztextilprom Association held a webinar with the heads of more than 50 major enterprises-exporters of textile industries in France, Trend reports citing the Uztextilprom Association.
The participants from France were informed about the conditions created by the government of Uzbekistan to promote the export of textile products, including existing support mechanisms both in terms of certification, transport and logistics, and working capital.
During the webinar, European partners of Advantage Central Asia Agency (France) informed Uzbek exporters about changes in the European and French textile markets caused by the coronavirus epidemic, existing difficulties in the import of Uzbekistan's textile products, as well as promising directions for expanding supplies under new conditions, the report says.
A step-by-step algorithm to increase Uzbekistan's textile exports to Europe was discussed during the webinar. The French side noted that the French market's demand for textile products is $166 billion, the report said.
The webinar participants noted the stability of production, the quality of Uzbek products and their compliance (in accordance with social and environmental requirements of the European market).
French partners also noted that European buyers may expect new players to enter the European market including companies from Uzbekistan, the report said.
