The number of licenses issued for the establishment of enterprises increased by 35 percent in the Zanjan province (western Iran) in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020) compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2018 to March 21, 2019), Chairman of Zanjan Industry, Mine and Trade Organization Nasir Faghfuri said,Trend reports citing the organization’s website.
According to Faghfuri, last year, 1,032 licenses were issued for the establishment of enterprises in Zanjan province. Faghfuri said it was planned to invest more than 83 trillion rials (about $1.9 billion) in the establishment of these enterprises.
"With the commissioning of these enterprises, 17,600 people will be provided with jobs in the province," he said.
The official said that the enterprises will mostly deal with metals, chemicals, food products and soft drinks.
According to official, in total, 2,200 enterprises have been given licenses for work and development in the province so far.
Investment in these enterprises is more than 340 trillion rials (about $8.09 billion).
