Iran discloses non-crude oil products export details

Iran exported 5.34 million tons of products worth $1.65 billion (excluding crude oil) in the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 20 through April 19, 2020), Trend reports referring to the website of Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (tccim.ir).

According to the report, product export decreased by 36 percent in terms of value and 39 percent in terms of weight compared to the same month last Iranian year. About 8.73 million tons of products worth $2.5 billion were exported in the same period last Iranian year.

“Iran exported $523 million worth of products to China. The China's share in Iran's exports was 31.7 percent and this is a decrease of 26.4 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year,” report said.

According to the report, Iran exported $355 million worth of products to the United Arab Emirates. The share of the UAE in Iran's exports amounted to 21.5 percent and this is a decrease of 8.7 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.

“Iran exported $259 million worth of products to the Iraq. The share of Iraq in Iran's exports amounted to 15.7 percent and this is a decrease of 3.6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year,” report noted.

According to report, Iran exported $125 million worth of products to Afghanistan in the first month of current Iranian year. The share of the Afghanistan in Iran's exports amounted to 7.6 percent and this is a decrease of 45.9 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.

Iran exported $72 million worth of products to Turkey in the first month of current Iranian year. The share of the Turkey in Iran's exports amounted to 4.4 percent and this is a decrease of 48.6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.

Iran's foreign trade turnover exceeded $3.58 billion in the first month.
