Trading at Uzbek Commodity Exchange increases

Last week (from 4 through 10 May), the total volume of transactions involving small businesses and private enterprises at the Uzbek Commodity Exchange amounted to 350.8 billion soum ($34.5 million), Trend reports with reference to UzEx.

Last week 781 car license plates were sold through online auction (a week earlier it was 457). Uzbeks bought car license plates for 3.2 billion soum ($314,714) – 97 percent more than a week earlier (then it was 1.7 billion soum).

The report said 21 percent of the deals were made on premium-class car license plates.

In total, last week all trading floors of the exchange sold goods for 1.06 trillion soum ($104.2 million, 15 percent more than a week earlier).

Ninety-two percent of sales went to stock exchange auctions, four percent to exhibition-fair auctions, four percent to public procurement and 0.3 percent to online auctions of car license plates.

Last week the starting price of RON-80 gasoline at the auctions at the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange rose by an average of 7.4 percent - from 3.8 million soum to 4.1 million soum per ton (from $373.7 to $403.2). A week earlier, the daily average price has decreased by 36 percent.
