Turkmenistan, Japanese Itochu discuss implementing new economic projects

Turkmenistan and Japanese Itochu Corporation have discussed implementation of new economic projects, in an online meeting between the representatives of Turkmenistan and the Japanese Itochu Corporation at The State Committee for Water Management of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to “Zolotoy Vek” (Golden Age) newspaper.

The parties highlighted the long-term experience of partnership in various fields. Issues of development the cooperation, in particular the supply of an earthmoving equipment were stressed out.

It should be noted that the relevant agreement on this was concluded between the parties during the visit of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Japan last year.

The experience of Japan in implementing modern water-saving technologies in irrigated agriculture, water treatment and waste water utilization, construction and operation of hydraulic structures values is of particular importance of Turkmenistan.

Back in 2019, president of Turkmenistan received Yoichi Kobayashi, Vice Chairman of Japan’s Itochu Corporation. During this visit an exchange of views took place on the prospects for partnership, which has a potential, taking into account the course taken by Turkmenistan to industrialize and diversify the national economy.
