Gazakh Cement Plant LLC, large industrial enterprise in Azerbaijan, increases clinker’s export potential, a source in the company told Trend.
According to the source, the company plans to expand the geography of clinker exports.
“To date, we consider Georgia as a potential sale market for the building materials produced at the plant. Since the early 2020, 3,253 tons of clinker have been exported to this country,” the source noted. “By the end of May, clinker exports to Georgian market are also expected.”
“The company also plans to organize exports to Iraq and Qatar after the country leaves the quarantine regime. At the same time, export to neighboring Iran is also being considered in the future,” the source said.
From the early 2020, 236,798 tons of cement (including 31,207 tons in April) were sold at domestic market.
The source also pointed out that the plant produces 3,300 tons of clinker per day.
“As of now, the plant’s production volume exceeds 1 million tons of building materials per year, and it is planned to bring this figure to 1.2 million tons by the end of this year,” the source added.
The clinker production increased by 10 percent in 2019 compared to 2018, and the volume of cement production exceeded 20 percent.
Gazakh Cement Plant LLC is one of the largest manufacturers of building materials in Azerbaijan. Besides the cement, the enterprise produces concrete and clinker.
The construction of the plant began in 2007 in the village of Dash Salahli, Gazakh district. The production capacity of the plant was calculated for 1.2 million tons of cement per year.
The plant has installed new types of modern equipment in order to increase production capabilities.
