Business activities in Uzbekistan's Jizzakh region significantly increased during the first quarter of 2020, Trend reports citing Uzbekistan National News Agency.
Forecast for budget revenues of Jizzakh region was 230 billion soum ($22,6 million) for the first quarter this year. The actual revenues made up 235.4 billion soum ($23,1 million). According to these numbers, the plan was fulfilled by 102.4 percent.
In 1Q2020, 4,164 workplaces were registered. It was planned to commission seven new projects. Meanwhile, 44 projects had been implemented and more than 1,000 new jobs created.
During the reporting period, 986 individual entrepreneurs were registered. Furthermore, 1.3 billion soum ($127,752) was provided to the regional budget.
Earlier, Farmers' Council of Uzbekistan allocated 1.01 billion soum ($99,674) to 81 owners of farmlands and 1.05 billion soum ($103,519) to 35 farms in Gallyaaral district of Jizzakh region. Funds totaling three billion soum ($295,769) were provided to Yangikurgan district of Namangan region.
In 2020-2022, as a pilot project, it is planned to allocate 116,300 hectares of land in Jizzakh region for agricultural production.
