Legal entities and individuals in Azerbaijan exported products worth over $4 billion to 91 countries from January through March 2020, which is 4.8 percent less compared to 1Q2019, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistical Committee.
In the structure of exports by countries, 43.5 percent accounted for Italy, 8.3 percent - for Turkey, 6 percent - for Israel, 4.5 percent - for Greece, 4 percent - for India, 3.4 percent - for the Czech Republic, 3.3 percent - for Russia, 2.8 percent - for Tunisia and Portugal, 2.5 percent - for Georgia, 2.3 percent - for Germany and Ukraine, 2.1 percent - for Vietnam, 2 percent - for Austria , 1.7 percent - for China, 1.4 percent - for Australia, 1.1 percent - for Spain, and 6 percent - for other countries.
Meanwhile, the export of fresh vegetables increased by 9.4 percent compared to the same period in 2019, sugar - by 16.3 percent, vegetable oils - 2.8 times, canned fruits and vegetables - by 44.6 percent , tea - by 5.4 percent, margarine and other food additives - 2.1 times, potato - 37.3 percent, cotton fiber - 15.9 percent, polyethylene - 15.8 percent, cotton yarn - 40.3 percent, ferrous metal pipes - 1.8 times, fresh fruits - 27.5 percent, fruit and vegetable juices - 14.5 percent, tobacco - 27.3 percent, natural grape wines and grape must - by 69 percent.
Exports of unprocessed aluminum decreased by 9.8 percent, and bentonite clay - by 34.8 percent.
The export of non-oil products from January through March 2020 increased by 3.4 percent compared to the same period in 2019, while in real terms decreased by 5.2 percent and amounted to $429 million.
The major share of non-oil products fell on those ones exported to Russia (31.3 percent), followed by Turkey (24.3 percent), Georgia (10 percent), Switzerland (9.5 percent), China (2.8 percent), Ukraine (2.8 percent), Italy (2.6 percent), Kazakhstan (1.8 percent), Iran (1.7 percent), the US (1.4 percent), and Germany (1.2 percent).
