Turkmenistan launches new project to support startups

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 1
By Jeila Aliyeva - Trend:

Turkmenistan is implementing a new project to support innovative startups, Trend reports with reference to the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.

Men Telekechi project ("I am an entrepreneur") is launching a new Men Telekechi 2.0 module. The program provides an opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs by teaching them the basics of business, helping to form a team, and preparing them to launch a new business.

Men Telekechi project is a universal platform that brings together entrepreneurs, startuppers, investors, and representatives from different industries.

British Embassy in Ashgabat planned to provide a grant to Turkmenistan’s Akylly Tilsmiat company for implementation of an entrepreneurship project titled Men Telekechi last year. British Ambassador to Turkmenistan Thorhilda Abbott-Watt expressed her happiness to support such an initiative not only because it aligns with the Embassy’s strategic goal of improving the economic and business environment in Turkmenistan, but also because the project is focusing on empowering women.

Men Telekechi project aims to help young entrepreneurs, especially women and startuppers, to choose their business areas and develop the skills necessary to evaluate and begin implementing their business ideas.

The project will help connect young entrepreneurs and startuppers with resources available in Turkmenistan and learn more about entrepreneurship.
