Wheat harvest kicks off in some regions of Turkmenistan

Winter wheat harvest has started in Turkmenistan’s Akhal, Lebap and Mary regions, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.

According to the plan, the winter wheat harvest will also begin in the Balkan and Dashoguz regions by June 12.

Grain will be collected from 690,000 hectares of land and will consist of 1.4 million tons. So, it is planned to harvest 400,000 tons of wheat from Ahal region 400,000, 345,000 tons - in Mary, 310,000 tons - in Lebap, 265,000 tons - in Dashoguz and 80,000 tons of winter wheat from Balkan region.

For wheat harvest 2,330 of CLAAS, John Deere, Case, and New Holland combine harvesters will be used. The work will take place around the clock, in two shifts, and the used equipment will help to harvest a wheat quickly.

Special mobile mechanical repair teams will serve grain growers within 24 hours, providing them with fuel, combustive and lubricating materials, and spare parts for machinery. Thus, more than 11,000 trucks allocated by various ministries and industry departments will ensure the delivery of wheat to 156 receiving points, barns and elevators.

Also, Turkmenstandartlary Main State Service will determine the quality of grain.

Payments to farmers for the delivered crop will be made through local branches of Turkmenistan’s Dayhanbank State Commercial Bank.
