The sales of Azerbaijan’s Avtometall LLC, engaged in the sale of spare parts for trucks of Howo, Shacman, Daf, Man, and Mercedes brands, has significantly decreased in the first 4 months of 2020, the source in the company told Trend.

According to the source, the sales decreased by 40 percent in the first three months of 2020.

“The company purchases spare parts from abroad, in particular from China. However, due to the closure of borders, amid the coronavirus pandemic, import into the country has been suspended. As a result, there is a shortage of some types of auto products on the market,” said the company.

“Last year, there was also a decrease in sales by about 20 percent, and in 2017 the drop resulted in 10-15 percent. Thus, over the past three years, there has been a steady decline in spare part sales. To a certain extent, this fact is associated with a decrease in market demand for trucks," said the source.

The company accepts orders for spare parts that are difficult to get, added the company.

The company has been operating in the Azerbaijan market since 2009.
