A pipes manufacturing plant was launched in Kazakhstan’s Kyzylorda region, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the regional akimat (administrative center).

The cost of the project’s implementation amounted to 200 million tenge ($495,565). Currently, the daily capacity of the plant is 3.2 tons of end-product a day. Plumbing, sewer and other types of pipes will be manufactured at the plant.

A quarter of the funds required for the project, i.e., working capital, was issued as a loan at 6 percent annual under the Business Roadmap state program. The project was also supported by the regional branch of the Damu Fund by receiving subsidized loans.

The received funds are being used to purchase raw materials from Almaty, as well as China and Turkey. The end-products of the plant are supplied across Kyzylorda region, as well as to Shymkent city. There are also orders for possible supplies to Zhambyl region, Almaty city and Kyrgyzstan’s Bishkek city.

The akimat noted that the project is especially interesting as both new and used materials are used to produce pipes at the plant, which makes the project environmentally important for the region.

In the future, the daily capacity of the plant will be increased to 10 tons of pipes.
