A total of 9.65 million tons of products were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 20-June 20, 2020), Trend reports citing Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran (PMO).
According to the report, 5.45 million tons of products were loaded and 4.2 million tons were unloaded during this period.
“About 4.29 million tons of products were exported and 2.27 million tons were imported in three months,” the report said.
“In addition, 88,100 tons of goods were loaded and 162,400 tons were unloaded for transit in Iranian ports,” the report added.
As many as 983,400 tons of products were loaded and 1.6 million tons were unloaded in Iranian ports for cabotage, according to the report.
More than 82,500 tons of products were loaded and 113,900 tons were unloaded for transshipment, the report noted.
During this period, 10,800 tons of products were loaded and 46,900 tons were unloaded in Iranian ports for other purposes.
According to the report, 120,500 tons of essential products were loaded and 1.67 million tons of products were unloaded in Iranian ports in the 3 months.
“About 32,300 tons of metal products were loaded and 569,900 tons of metal products were unloaded,” the report said.
More than 145,500 tons of construction materials and mining materials were loaded, 1.86 million tons of construction materials and mining materials were unloaded.
"As many as 20,300 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were unloaded and 3,700 tons of such products were loaded," the report added.
According to the report, 50,100 tons of chemicals were loaded and 266,500 tons were unloaded.
During the 3 months, 83,900 tons of leather products, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials were loaded and 2,310 tons of such products were unloaded.
In total, 1.44 million tons of oil products loaded and 1.87 million tons unloaded in Iranian ports over 3 months.
