In 2019, 24 enterprises were involved in water supply in Georgia, Trend reports referring to National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
As reported, in 2019, the volume of water provided to Georgian households amounted to 223.4 million cubic meters which is 0.7 percent higher compared to 2018.
As of December 31, 2019, the size of population connected to water supply industry amounted to 2.52 million people (67.7 percent) which is 2.8 percent higher compared to 2018.
In 2019, the number of people connected to a wastewater collecting system increased by 1.3 percent compared to the prior year and amounted to 1.83 million people (49.4 percent).
Meanwhile, the number of the residents connected to wastewater treatment facilities increased by 1.3 percent compared to preceding year and reached 1.36 million people (36.5 percent).
