Iran intends to increase trade with Qatar

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 13

Iran's exports to Qatar, especially dairy products, will increase, said Director General of Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) of Iran’s Arabic-African Affairs Office Farzad Piltan, Trend reports citing the official website of the organization.

Piltan added that a meeting was held at the TPO office on July 13 to discuss ways to increase exports of food and agricultural products.

The meeting was attended by representatives of government agencies and private sector as well as officials of Industry, Mine and Trade Organizations of Iran's provinces.

The director general noted that the meeting focused on the product market in Qatar and export opportunities.

At the same time, consultations were held to remove obstacles and solve problems related to the export of products to Qatar.

Qatar imports about $154 million worth of dairy products a year. The value of Iran's exports to Qatar in this area is about $1 million.
