A number of entrepreneurs in the field of restaurant business and catering have approached the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Uzbekistan with a request to assist in taking anti-crisis measures to support this industry, Trend reports with reference to the CCI.
Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan has sent a working note to the Presidential Administration, which proposes a number of necessary and urgent measures to support the restaurant business and catering, which have found themselves in a difficult situation due to the coronavirus and the stricter rules of the Ministry of Health of of Uzbekistan, the Agency for Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare, and also the State Inspection of Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, the message said.
As a result of the proposals, a draft presidential decree has been prepared, which provides for the extension of a number of tax incentives; the increase in the staff of hired employees; the introduction of a procedure for placing catering summer terraces in the surrounding areas, as well as extending the time of catering and other entertainment facilities up to 24 hours.
At present, the draft Decree is being finalized taking into account the proposals of entrepreneurs and the working group of public expertise of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
