Gold processing plant commissioned in Kazakhstan's Karaganda

Kazakhstan’s AK Altynalmas JSC company has commissioned a Dolinnoye CIP gold processing plant at its Aktogai Project in country’s Karaganda region, Trend reports with reference to the AK Altynalmas JSC.

The company said that an additional step on the way to the plant commissioning was obtaining the Environmental Emission Permit issued by Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources for the period of 2020-2029.

“Under the permit terms, the company shall ensure compliance with the requirements of the Environmental Legislation of Kazakhstan; emissions limits, environmental protection measures for the period of the permit validity,” the company said.

The new plant capacity will be 2.5 million tons of ore per annum. With the added operation of Dolinnoye CIP Plant, the total ore processing ore throughput of the Aktogai production site of AK Altynalmas will grow up 5.2 million tons per annum to 50 million tons per annum.

Dolinnoye CIP Plant pre-commissioning activities commenced on May 22, this year. Currently, the works on safe and accident-free production start-up and driving up to the designed capacity have been successfully completed and in early June the first 5.3 kg gold bar was produced at the plant.

Dolinnoye CIP Plant became the fourth plant built and commissioned by AK Altynalmas over the past 10 years additionally to Akbakai CIP processing plant, Pustynnoye concentrator and Altynalmas Technology precious metal plant.

AK Altynalmas JSC is a company of a full geological, mining and gold processing cycle.

The core business of the company includes: mining and processing of gold ore; exploration; design, construction and installation; financing of research, design and survey work, construction and upgrade of facilities for exploration, mining and processing of precious metals.
