Turkmenistan imports large volume of polymer from Russia

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 3

A large volume of polymer was exported from Russia to Turkmenistan from January through May 2020, Trend reports citing the Eurasian Economic Commission’s statistics.

Russia was the only exporter of polymer products from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) to Turkmenistan during the mentioned period.

During first five months of 2020, Russia exported ethylene polymer to Turkmenistan in the amount of 205 kilograms for a total amount of $1,027 and polypropylene in the amount of 600 kilograms, for a total amount of $2,698.

In addition, vinyl chloride polymers were exported from Russia to Turkmenistanin in the amount of 79,950 kilograms worth of $75,985.

According to statistics, Russia exported acrylic polymers to Turkmenistan in the amount of 167,920 kilograms, for a total amount of $607,575.

Furthermore, Russia and Kazakhstan exported polyacetals, polyesters and epoxy resins to Turkmenistan in the amount of 16,640 kilograms worth $50,064.

The share of Kazakhstan in the total amount of the export volume of these products was $35,345, while Russia’s share stood at $14,719.
