Multiple projects to be commissioned in Kazakhstan within industrialization roadmap

A total of 160 projects will be commissioned in Kazakhstan countrywide within the framework of the industrialization roadmap, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development Beibut Atamkulov said, Trend reports with reference to the press office of Kazakhstan’s president.

Atamkulov made the statement during his report on results of first seven months of 2020 and implementation of state programs to Kazakhstan’s President Kassym Jomart Tokayev.

The minister said that overall, despite the COVID-related crisis, positive results have been achieved in all sectors supervised by the ministry.

He added that to date, 7 million square meters of housing have been built under the Nurly Zher program, housing conditions of 61,300 families have been improved.

In turn, within the framework of the Nurly Zhol program, work is underway to build and reconstruct 9,800 kilometers of roads, and 160 projects will be commissioned countrywide within the framework of the industrialization roadmap.

During the meeting, Tokayev gave instructions aimed at further development of processing industry, and increase of processing goods production to meet the demand at the local market.

The head of state noted the importance of timely commissioning the constructed housing and stressed the need to continue modernization of transport and transit infrastructure.
