Denmark's share in total export of Azerbaijan grows

Denmark’s share in Azerbaijan’s total import volume grew from 0.26 percent to 0.28 percent in the first 7 months of 2020, Trend reports on August 25 referring to the statistics bulletin of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.

According to the committee, over the reporting period, foreign trade operations between Azerbaijan and Denmark amounted to $66.1 million (up 2.9 times compared to the same period of last year).

Meanwhile, the export of the Azerbaijani products to Denmark made up $49.7 million against $499,000 from January through July 2019. Thus, the volume of products purchased by Denmark from Azerbaijan was 99.5 times more than in the same period of last year.

The import of products from Denmark to Azerbaijan dropped by almost 34.7 percent year-on-year, from $22.1 million to $16.4 million.

Thus, the foreign trade balance of the two countries for the reporting period became positive and amounted to $33.3 million.

Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $9.1 billion from January through July 2020.
