Turkish company plans to implement animal identification systems in Uzbekistan

Turkish company plans to implement several projects in Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing Dunyo News Agency.

Embassy of Uzbekistan in Turkey held talks with the administration of Turkish BS MEDIKAL company on August 25, 2020.

The meeting was devoted to discussing the interaction to minimize the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the development of economic relations of the Turkish company with Uzbekistan.

Earlier, the State Committee of Veterinary and Livestock Development of Uzbekistan and BS MEDIKAL company signed Memorandum of Understanding on the further development of an animal identification system in Uzbekistan.

The company has opened its representative office in Tashkent. The Memorandum provides for cooperation in areas such as animal identification, improving the knowledge and skills of specialists in this field, production of electronic ear tags.

The total value of the projects that the Turkish investor plans to implement in Uzbekistan is $4 million. Within the framework of this project, it is planned to carry out the construction of a plant for the production of electronic and visual tags for cattle under Uzbek standards, as well as the creation of the center for training and professional development of specialists involved in animal identification.

Besides, the Turkish company plans to allocate an additional $3 million for further improvement and broad implementation of animal identification systems in Uzbekistan.
