Iran's Saipa Group manufactured more than 137,500 cars during the first 5 months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through August 21, 2020), reads the report of information service (codal.ir) under the Securities and Exchange Organization of Iran, Trend reports.
According to the statistics, Saipa manufactured 61,149 Pride cars over 5 months. This is a decrease of 19 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
“The manufacturing of the Pride cars in Iran was suspended in June,” the report said.
In addition, Saipa Company has manufactured 76,349 Tiba cars during the reporting period.
According to the statistics, some models, like Ario and Changan were not manufactured in the mentioned period.
In total, more than 346,000 cars were manufactured in Iran during five months. Car manufacturing increased by about 10.8 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
