Smart City project to be implemented in Kazakhstan’s Kokshetau

Smart City project will be implemented in Kazakhstan’s Kokshetau city of Akmola region, Trend reports with reference to the regional akimat (administrative office).

The corresponding agreement was signed between the regional akimat and Kazakhtelecom company.

The main elements of the Smart City project will be solutions for the automation of integrated accounting systems for utilities, environmental monitoring, automatic regulation of street lighting, as well as coverage of socially significant facilities and government agencies by video surveillance.

Smart City Akkol project was launched in 2018 to create smart cities, which is the base for the Smart city project to be implemented in Kokshetau.

Within the framework of the Smart City Akkol implementation, a situational and analytical center has been built in Akkol city, information systems of urban infrastructure have been introduced, intelligent sensors for transmitting data for electricity, water and heat have been installed, video surveillance and street lighting systems are functioning.

The Smart City concept oversees 11 areas such as health care, education, security, transport, housing and communal services, social sphere, construction, business and tourism development, city management, agriculture and ecology.
