A total of 439,000 tons of cargo was loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) in the 5-th month of the current Iranian year (July 22 - August 21, 2020), Trend reports citing Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran (PMO).
Some 220,000 tons of goods were loaded and 219,000 tons were unloaded at the port in the 5-th month, according to the statistics.
Over this month, 11,200 tons of goods were exported and 2,650 tons were imported through the Qeshm port.
“At the same time, 208,000 tons of goods were loaded for cabotage, and 216,000 tons were unloaded in the port,” the statistics noted.
According to the statistics, 217 tons of goods were loaded for other purposes during the reporting period.
In addition, 11,200 tons of construction and mining materials, 418,000 tons of other goods, 88 tons of container products and 9,260 tons of oil products were loaded and unloaded in the 5-th month at the Qeshm port, the statistics said.
In total, 5.93 million tons of goods were loaded and 4.08 million tons were unloaded through Iranian ports in the 5-th month.
The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded at Iranian ports decreased by 19.8 percent during the reporting period compared to the same period last Iranian year.
