The steel ingots production of 12 major Iranian steel companies amounted to 9.23 million tons during the first 5 months of the current Iranian year (March 20-August 21, 2020), Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to the report, this is an increase of 7 percent compared to the same period of the last Iranian year.
“The Mobarakeh Steel Company produced 4.08 million tons, Khouzestan Steel Company 1.65 million tons, Esfahan Steel Company 968,000 tons, South Kaveh Steel Company 433,000 tons, Khorasan Steel Company 395,000 tons, Mining and Industrial Company 393,000 tons of steel ingots,” the report said.
Furthermore, Sirjan Jahan Steel Company produced 342,000 tons, Arfa Iran & Steel Company - 339,000 tons, Midco Steel Company - 239,000 tons, Iran Alloy Steel Company - 202,000 tons, Binab Steel Company - 145,000 tons, Iran National Steel Industrial Group produced - 35,000 tons of steel.
According to the report, the production of steel ingots by these companies in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (July 22-August 21) amounted to 1.75 million tons, which is an increase of 2 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
“Eleven Iranian steel companies Mobarakeh Steel Company, Esfahan Steel Company, Azerbaijan Steel Company, Khorasan Steel Company, Iran Alloy Steel Company, Sirjan Jahan Steel Company, Ahwaz Rolling and Pipe Mills Company, Iran National Steel Industrial Group, Oksin Steel Company, Sefid-Dasht Company, and Binab Steel Company produced a total of about 6 million tons of steel products over 5 months,” the report noted.
The production of steel products increased by 2 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year, the report added.
According to the report, 11 Iranian steel companies produced 1.2 million tons of steel products in the fifth month. This is an increase of 4 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
