MasterCard to help development of tourism sector in Georgia

MasterCard will help the development of the tourism sector in Georgia in the post-coronavirus period, Trend reports via the press service of the Prime Minister of Georgia.

This decision was made during a meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia and MasterCard Vice President Nicola Villa.

According to the press service, on September 17, a memorandum of cooperation will be signed between MasterCard and the National Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Economy of Georgia, within the framework of which the world's leading payment and technology company will share its experience and knowledge in the field of tourism for free throughout the year.

At the meeting, the vice-president of MasterCard noted that in previous years Georgia was one of the world leaders in tourism development and the company is ready to help the country in the post-crisis period in terms of promoting the tourism sector and economic growth.

The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava.
