BAKU, Azerbaijan, Sept. 24
By Fidan Babayeva - Trend:
The State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan plans to launch new services for foreign trade participants through the ‘Smart customs’ app, Trend reports referring to SCC.
According to SCC, the new ‘Simplified declaration electronic commerce’ project, implemented by the SCC, will create conditions for a more transparent and quick implementation of e-commerce, improve service levels, eliminate time losses, ensure transparency, correct construction of customs statistics, and efficient use of available resources.
Individuals delivering goods from abroad through international postal companies will no longer come to the customs authority, they will be able to carry out all customs operations without contacting a customs officer, the SCC said.
Thus, from the day of the implementation of the project, international postal parcels ordered through the carrier companies must be declared to the customs authority by means of a "Simplified declaration electronic commerce’.
