The Cotton-Spinning Factory in Halach distrcist of Turkmenistan's Lebap region has manufactured products worth more than 25 million Turkmen manat ($7.1 million) since the beginning of the year, of which 9 million ($2.5 million) is the export component, Trend reports with reference to Business Turkmenistan information portal.
The products of the factory are in demand in such countries as Russia, Turkey and Poland.
Turkmenistan is currently taking measures to grow the textile industry and promote its products. Thus, new retail outlets of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan were recently opened in the country, and the production capacities of enterprises under the ministry's jurisdiction are also being increased for representatives of the private sector.
Meanwhile, the country is increasing the production of cotton, which is the main raw material in the production of textiles.
Turkmenistan's textile products are exported to more than 30 countries, including developed countries such as the US, Great Britain, France, Germany, and Switzerland.
One of the textile exporters in Turkmenistan is the Ashgabat Textile Complex, which provides the country's domestic markets with textile products, producing a variety of export-oriented goods.
