With the financial support of the Bank of Georgia in the amount of 50,000 lari ($15,590), new plantations in pear and apple orchards have appeared in the village of Ghaniri, Samtredia district, Imereti region, Trend reports via Georgian media.
New seedlings have been planted on 5 hectares of land.
As part of preferential agricultural lending, the entrepreneur purchased a tractor, operating power, and irrigation systems. Also, the territory was completely fenced and equipped with video cameras.
For the first time this year, the entrepreneur collected up to 12 tons, which he sold on the local market.
A harvest of 35 tons is expected next year.
The company currently employs 10 people. The gardens are maintained by their own agronomist.
