Iran's steel ingot production has reached 11.2 million tons during the first half of the current Iranian year(started March 20, 2020) that indicates a 7 percent increase compared to last Iranian year (started March 21, 2019).
Statistics from Iran's major steel producers indicate that Isfahan Mobarakeh Steel Company was the biggest steel ingot producer in the country by producing 4.9 million tons during the first six months of the current Iranian year (started March 20, 2020) while the company has the highest volume of steel production of 883,719 tons in this period, Trend reports citing IRNA.
Isfahan Mobarakeh Steel Company, Khuzestan Steel Company, Iran Alloy Steel Company, Iran National Steel Industry Group, South Kaveh Steel Company, Chadormalu Steel Company, Arfa Steel Company, Bonab Steel Industry Complex, Sirjan Steel Company and, the Middle East Mines and Minerals Industries Development Holding Company have produced 2.4 million tons of steel during August 22 to September 21 that indicate 11 percent increase compare to same months in last Iranian year (started March 21, 2019).
The steel production in the following units has reached 7.2 million tons during the first six months of the current Iranian year (started March 20, 2020) that indicates a 3 percent increase compared to last Iranian year(started March 21, 2019).
Iran National Steel Industry Group had a 244 percent growth in steel production during the first half of the current Iranian year (started March 20, 2020) while it had 171 percent growth in producing billet.
Sirjan Steel Company had the best efficiency among steel producers with 346 percent growth in steel production from August 22 to September 21.
Iran's steel ingot production in the last Iranian year (started March 21, 2019) was 27.2 million tons and it is predicted to increase to 55 million tons in 2025.
