Iran’s East Alborz Coal Company produced 20,300 tons of coal concentrate in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 22-September 21, 2020), which is a new record on the production of the company, Executive Director of the East Alborz Coal Company Mansour Sharif told IRNA, Trend reports.
The director stressed that thus, coal concentrate production of the company exceeded 100,000 tons in the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21), and no such figure has been recorded in the same period of the past seven years.
Sharif added that the East Alborz Coal Company plans to produce 200,000 tons of coal concentrate in the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2020, to March 21, 2021).
"A total of 317,000 tons of coal must be extracted and 72,000 tons of must be purchased to implement this plan. So, the company's production will increase by 30 percent in the current Iranian year," he said.
The East Alborz Coal Company is operating under the auspices of Iran's Esfahan Steel Company.
