Turkish Göknur Gıda company eyeing investment project in Kazakhstan's agriculture

Turkish Göknur Gıda company eyeing investment project implementation in Kazakhstan, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Agriculture Ministry.

The negotiations on the project’s implementation were held between Kazakhstan’s Minister of Agriculture Saparkhan Omarov and representatives of Göknur Gıda company. The investment project oversees establishment of orchards and construction of a processing plant.

The project is to be implemented in cooperation with the Kazakhstan’s embassy in Turkey and Kazakh Invest National company.

The project is top be potentially implemented in either Almaty, Zhambyl, and Turkestan regions of Kazakhstan. The corresponding agreements were already reached between Kazakh companies and the Göknur Gıda company.

The project implelemtation cost is to be $204 million. The number of jobs to be creasted by project’s implementation is 500.

Founded in 1993, Göknur is the raw material supplier of the sector giants with its production facilities in Turkey’s Niğde, Mersin, Adana and Dinar.

Aiming at 1 billion turnover, 1,000 employees and being among the top 5 ranking companies in its sector, Göknur takes part in Turkey’s vision to become one of the largest 10 economies in the world in 2023 which is the centenary of Turkey.
