Imports of products from Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan on an annualized basis increased from $34.83 million to $44.41 million for nine months of 2020, Trend reports with reference to the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.
The share of Uzbekistan in the total imports of Azerbaijan amounted to 0.57 percent of the total, against 0.34 percent in the same period last year.
From January through September 2020, exports from Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan amounted to $7.759 million, while a year earlier this figure was $16.167 million.
Thus, the share of Uzbekistan in the total export of Azerbaijan decreased from 0.11 to 0.07 percent.
The volume of foreign trade operations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan amounted to $52.1 million.
Thus, the balance of foreign trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan for the reporting period remained negative, amounting to $37 million.
In general, from January through September 2020, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $18.4 billion, which is 27.1 percent less than the same indicator of 2019.
The balance of foreign trade turnover on an annualized basis decreased by 38.6 percent, nevertheless, it remained positive, amounting to $2.756 billion.
