Turkish embassy in Georgia talks joint energy projects of Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkey

TANAP, Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Oil Pipeline and Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway are the major projects that Georgia, Turkey and Azerbaijan are implementing together, the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Tbilisi told Trend.

"Turkish contracting firms have successfully completed 258 projects (total value of $4.8 billion) in Georgia so far," the embassy said.

According to the embassy, during the period of January through September 2020, the volume of Turkey’s exports to Georgia was worth $981.5 million and the volume of Turkey’s imports from Georgia was worth $142.8 million.

The embassy added, that Turkish Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Georgia during the January through June 2020 period, is $44.2 million.

"Georgian companies could develop partnerships with Turkish companies where they would deem added value for joint production and enter Turkish market, as FDI in all fields and in particular real estate and technology development," the embassy added.
