Azerbaijan imported 38,632 cars from January through September 2020, which is 24.9 percent more compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports citing a report of the State Customs Committee (SCC).
In the first nine months of 2020, the number of passenger cars, which is the bulk of the country’s imports, reached 36,036, showing a growth of 29.5 percent year on year. Some 129 vehicles with a capacity of 10 people and more were imported.
“The number of imported trucks also decreased by 8.4 percent, amounting to 2,377 units. In addition, the number of imported special purpose vehicles was 90 units,” said the report.
At the same time, the value of imported vehicles for 9M2020 totaled over $462.6 million.
