The Deputy Head of Iran's Space Research Center Mohammad Jafar Salehi said that most parts of Iranian satellites are made domestically, Trend reports via Fars News Agency.
“Due to the sanctions and the potential industrial sabotage, the Space Research Center sought to develop technologies in its own technology institutes,” Salehi said.
He pointed out that most important parts of satellites are made by Iran domestically.
“The limited amount of parts are imported due to lack of technology,” he said.
"One of the main concerns of the Iranian Space Center is to use the services of knowledge-based companies and the private sector," he said.
Salehi went on to invite the knowledge-based companies working in the field of space to join the research network of the research center.
"The transfer of projects (to private sector) is on the agenda of the Iran Space Research Center,” he said.
