A total of 25.7 tons of milk and cream worth $17,900 have been imported from Azerbaijan to Georgia in 2020, Trend reports via the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
Last year, however, Georgia imported 80 tons of both dairy products ($54,100), with this being a record amount for the previous five years.
In 2018, the imported amount of milk and cream from Azerbaijan stood at 50 tons ($34,800).
Milk products to Georgia are, as a rule, imported by vehicles.
Georgia has so far purchased over 5,283 tons of milk and cream this year, with the largest exporting countries of these products to Georgia being Ukraine, Belarus and Iran.
