By Fidan Babayeva - Trend:

The existing economic instruments for the preservation of foreign exchange resources and macroeconomic stability of Azerbaijan create a solid background for the country's economic development, Head of the Azerbaijani National Confederation of Entrepreneurs Mammad Musayev said.

Musayev made the remark at an extraordinary meeting of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) held with the organizational support of the Azerbaijani National Confederation of Entrepreneurs, Trend reports referring to the Ministry of Economy.

According to him, the instruments also create favorable conditions for mutual investments of the TCCI member countries.

The confederation’s head noted that the activity of the chamber, being a new and powerful mechanism for expanding trade and investment cooperation between Turkic-speaking states, is aimed at expanding economic ties and investment opportunities, as well as increasing trade turnover between the states.

"We would very much like the member countries of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry re-assess new investment opportunities and enter joint activities in Azerbaijan. We would be very happy if our brothers began to carry out their activities here," Musayev said.

During his speech he pointed out that in recent years, President Ilham Aliyev has been implementing large-scale economic reforms in Azerbaijan, the main goal of which is to ensure the diversification of the country's economy, open new job opportunities, further improve the well-being of the population, and strengthen the country's economic potential.

“The Azerbaijani state improves the structure of its economy and ensures an increase in the favorable investment environment. It has taken adequate steps to fight the spread of the COVID-19, providing great support to economic entities affected by the pandemic,” he added.

Along with Musayev, Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov, President of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Head of the Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkey (TOBB) Mustafa Rifat, Secretary-General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev, and other officials took part in the event.
