BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 4

By Jeila Aliyeva - Trend:

Some 90 new livestock complexes are being built in Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the Business Turkmenistan information portal.

Currently, there are 122 livestock complexes in the country. These complexes contributed to a significant reduction in the volume of imported meat and dairy products from abroad.

Meanwhile, most of the livestock production comes from the private sector of Turkmenistan. Currently, the private sector accounts for 94 percent of meat, 98.3 percent of dairy products, and 89 percent of wool manufactured in Turkmenistan.

The remaining part is made by state associations and other state institutions.

In general, Turkmenistan is working to develop animal husbandry, increase the number of livestock, production of meat and dairy products, and strengthen the feed base of the industry.

So, at present, the country is developing new product lines in this direction and continues to improve local livestock enterprises.
