High prices cause discontent among Iranians - Minister of Agriculture

Iranian Minister of Agriculture Jihad admitted that the high prices have caused people to suffer.
“Regarding the high prices, a meeting was held and very good decisions were made, one of which was that the Basij, along with the Ministry of Jihad, was supposed to help the goods reach the people at reasonable prices,” the Iranian Minister of Agriculture Jihad Kazem Khavazi said, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
"With the help of Basij, goods can be delivered to consumers at reasonable prices, in a regular and dignified manner,” he added.
He went on to note that the country is in a very good situation in the field of basic goods.
“There is no shortage in chicken, eggs, and red meat,” he said.
Khavazi said that the Ministry of Agriculture is responsible for the distribution of some basic and high-consumption goods, such as chicken and eggs. “Also, all the steps related to chicken and egg production have been assigned to this ministry.”
