Activity of Turkmen entrepreneurs on country’s Commodity Exchange for Oct.2020

Turkmen entrepreneurs participated in the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan in October, Trend reports with reference to exchange’s data.

In the first week of October, Turkmen entrepreneurs purchased polypropylene and carpet products worth over 5.7 million Turkmen manat ($1.6 million) for sale in the country's domestic market.

Turkmen entrepreneurs also bought cotton fiber for sale in the country's domestic market for more than 41. 6 million manat ($11.9 million) in the second week of October.

As for the third week of October, businessmen from Turkmenistan bought polypropylene film and cotton fiber worth over 7.6 million manat ($2.2 million) for sale in the country's domestic market.

There was no information about the activity of Turkmen entrepreneurs on the country's exchange in the fourth week of October.

As reported, some 190 transactions were registered on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan in October.

During the first week of October, 20 deals were concluded, during the second – 52, the third – 80, and the fourth - 38 deals.

The state commodity exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important agency of state regulation of export-import operations.
