Buy/sell operations at Iran Mercantile Exchange disclosed

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 14

A total of 387,000 tons of goods worth more than 35 trillion rials (about $833 million) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (November 7 through November 11), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

According to the report, however, 514,000 tons of goods worth more than 57 trillion rials (about $1.36 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding Iranian week (October 31 through November 4),

"More than 98,100 tons of goods worth about 10.7 trillion rials (about $256 million) were sold in the industrial and mining products section of IME," the report said.

Thus, 97,300 tons of steel, 80 tons of aluminum, 660 tons of copper, 120 tons of molybdenum sulfur, and 16 kg of gold bars were sold in this section.

"At the same time, 288,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 24.8 trillion rials (about $590 million) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last week," the report added.

According to the report, 73,300 tons of vacuum bottom, 73,600 tons of bitumen, 38,400 tons of polymeric substances, 31,200 tons of chemicals, 54,000 tons of lube cut, 1,660 tons of glass facades, 966 tons base oil, 150 tons of argon, and 15,300 tons of sulfur were sold in this section.

Furthermore, 1,760 tons of various products were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
