Restoring of manufacturing enterprises in Iran's Qom Province accelerated

The restoring process of the activities of inactive manufacturing enterprises in Qom Province has been accelerated in the current Iranian year (began March 20, 2020) in order to maximize the economic potential of Iran's Qom Province, Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Qom Province Mahmoud Sijani said, Trend reports citing the organization’s information portal.

The activities of 19 enterprises were restored in Qom Province during the first 7 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2020) for this purpose, according to him.

The chairman added that 5.27 trillion rials (about $125 million) were spent on the restoration of these enterprises and 415 people were employed.

Sijani also noted that these enterprises operate in the manufacturing of cellulose, food products, footwear, chemicals, mining materials, electrical and electronic devices.

A total of 2,220 enterprises operate in Qom Province and 56,100 people work at these enterprises.
