The retail turnover of pharmaceutical products and medical supplies in Azerbaijan totaled 553.3 million manat ($325.4 million) from January through October 2020, Trend reports on Nov. 18 citing the report of the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
This indicator increased by 32.8 percent (521 million manat or $306 million in 2019) compared to the same period of last year.
The share of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies in a total retail trade volume reached 11.8 percent.
Azerbaijan produced the main types of pharmaceutical products, in particular, antibiotics, worth 14,500 manat ($8,529), other medicine in the amount of 618,900 manat ($364,058) from January through October 2020.
