EU allows import of pet food from Georgia

The European Union has allowed the importation of pet food from Georgia to the European Union (EU), Trend reports via Georgia media.

According to the National Food Agency, the adoption of this regulation was preceded by the National Food Agency's measures under the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) agreement to bring it closer to EU legislation, which was positively assessed by a special working group of the European Commission. The legislation defines technical procedures for exporting, as to what requirements the enterprise must meet.
