The import of products to Azerbaijan from Spain on an annualized basis increased from $54.4 million to $69.7 million (28.1 percent) from January through October 2020, Trend reports on Nov. 30 with reference to the statistical bulletin of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
The share of Spain in Azerbaijan's total import amounted to 0.79 percent of the total volume compared to 0.47 percent in the same period of last year.
The export from Azerbaijan to Spain amounted to $328.4 million from January through October 2020, while a year earlier this figure was $703.9 million.
The share of Spain in the total export of Azerbaijan decreased from 4.18 percent to 2.68 percent.
The volume of foreign trade operations between Azerbaijan and Spain amounted to $398.1 million from January through October 2020, which is almost two times less than in the same period of last year (47.5 percent).
Thus, the balance of foreign trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Spain remained positive for the reporting period, amounting to $258.7 million.
Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to more than $21 billion from January through October 2020, which is 25.7 percent less than in the same period of 2019.
