Foreign trade operations between Azerbaijan and Poland up

The export of Azerbaijani products to Poland on an annualized basis increased from $3.3 million to $4.1 million from January through October 2020, which is 26.8 percent more compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to the statistical bulletin of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.

The share of Poland in the total export volume of Azerbaijan amounted to 0.03 percent.

The import of Polish products to Azerbaijan amounted to $83.4 million from January through October 2020, while a year earlier this figure was $73.1 million.

The share of Poland in the total import volume of Azerbaijan amounted to 0.98 percent.

The volume of foreign trade operations between Azerbaijan and Poland amounted to $83.8 million from January through October 2020, which is 14.7 percent more compared to the same period of last year.

Thus, the balance of foreign trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Poland for the reporting period remained negative, amounting to $79.3 million.

Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to more than $21 billion from January through October 2020, which is 25.7 percent less than in the same period of 2019.

Harvesters, food processing equipment, refrigeration, medical equipment, food products, namely, cheese, frozen potatoes, chemical products, namely, toothpaste, medicines are mainly exported by Poland.

As for the import of goods from Azerbaijan, the biggest growth is observed in the food sector (in particular, in the supply of hazelnuts and juices) and the import of mineral products.
