The production of several mining products in Iran decreased including ceramics by 4.3 percent, sheet glass by 7 percent, glass containers by 4.7 percent, porcelain by 14 percent, but plumbing products increased by 0.3 percent during the first 7 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2020) compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.
According to the statistics, Iran produced 241 million square meters of ceramics over the reporting period. While in the same period last Iranian year, this figure was 252 million square meters.
"In addition, Iran produced 37.8 million square meters of ceramics in the 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 22 through October 21, 2020). This is a decrease of 2.5 percent compared to the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 22 through September 21). Thus, 38.7 million square meters of ceramics were produced in the sixth month," the statistics said.
Moreover, Iran produced 631,000 tons of sheet glass in seven months. While, in the same period last Iranian year, this figure amounted to 679,000 tons," the statistics said.
According to the statistics, the sheet glass production in the 7th month was 113,000 tons. The production increased by 28.9 percent compared to the 6th month. So, 87,700 tons of sheet glass were produced in Iran in the 6th month.
"At the same time, Iran produced 403,000 tons of glass containers within first seven months. However, 423,000 tons of glass containers were produced in Iran in the same period last Iranian year," the statistics said.
Also, Iran produced 58,500 tons of glass containers in the seventh month. This is a decrease of 3.9 percent compared to the sixth month. Thus, 60,900 tons of glass containers were produced in Iran 6th month, the statistics said.
A total of 30,200 tons of porcelain were produced in Iran over seven months. While in the same period last Iranian year, this figure amounted to 35,200 tons.
According to the statistics, the porcelain production amounted to 5,100 tons in the 7th month of the current Iranian year. This is a decrease of 1.2 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, 5,200 tons of porcelains were produced in Iran in the sixth month.
"Furthermore, Iran produced 67,100 tons of plumbing products during the first seven months of current Iranian year. While in the same period last Iranian year, Iran has produced 66,900 tons of plumbing products," the statistics said.
According to the statistics, the production of plumbing products in Iran amounted to 9,800 tons in the seventh month. This is a decrease of 11.8 percent compared to the sixth month. Thus, 11,700 tons of plumbing products were produced in Iran in 6th month.
