The exports through the customs of Iran’s Kurdistan Province increased by 12 percent in terms of value and 55 percent in terms of volume during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2020), compared to the same period last Iranian year, the Supervisor of the Kurdistan Province Customs Office, Bakhtiar Rahmanipour said, Trend reports referring to the Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
The official emphasized that 2.3 million tons of goods worth about $965 million were exported through the customs of the province within the reporting.
He added that 232,000 tons of goods worth $86.3 million were exported through the Siranband customs checkpoint of Iran's Kurdistan Province over the past eight months.
Rahmanipour noted that 28,400 tons of goods worth $10.4 million were exported through the province's Sanandaj customs checkpoint.
"While through the Bashmaq customs checkpoint of Iran's Kurdistan Province, 843,000 tons of goods worth about $401 million were exported," he said.
The official stressed that in addition, 1.2 million tons of goods worth $467 million registered in other Iranian customs were exported through the Bashmaq and Siranband customs checkpoints.
Rahmanipour also said that 21,200 tons of goods worth $30.1 million were imported through the Sanandaj and Bashmaq customs of Iran's Kurdistan Province in the first eight months of the current Iranian year.
